The strength of an entrepreneurial business
A dip into history teaches us that 4 generations of a single Belgian family, the Van den Broeke, are at the core of Lutosa as a company. Since 1935, when the grandparents were active in the potato trade, little by little subsequent generations have built up this flagship of Belgian food processing. Today, from these business roots, there remains an astonishing sense of commitment and team spirit. The firm retains a family spirit, even though it is now a member of the Canadian McCain family group, and it benefits from its competitiveness and rapid decision-making.
A presence on an international scale
From our 2 production sites located in Belgium, our brand extends worldwide. Partnerships, expertise and skills on an international level lay the fertile ground for our success. We have a presence in 125 countries and are active across 3 leading sectors: (commercial and group) catering, large and medium-sized retail distribution and the food industry (prepared meals, bakery items, gnocchi etc.).
Lutosa achieves 92% of its sales volumes through exports. We export via 22 commercial subsidiaries and sales offices spread across 5 continents, but also via commercial agents and importers/distributors. Lutosa’s global commercial network is one of our strengths: our presence on the ground allows us to form very close relationships with our customers and to acquire a better perception of local culinary trends. We therefore participate in many trade fairs, both in Europe and worldwide. See list of trade fairs…
