Adding value to the raw material
Lutosa possesses two processing sites: the first in Leuze-en-Hainaut in Wallonia, and the second in Sint-Eloois-Vijve in Flanders. Within each of these units, lines complement one another and allow for the production of three major product categories:
- frozen french fries (2-year life span) and chilled french fries (26-day use-by date)
- frozen potato specialities (wedges, roast potatoes, mash, gratins, croquettes etc.)
(use-by date of 12 to 24 months)
- dehydrated potato flakes
(use-by date of 12 to 18 months).
In total, Lutosa accounts for more than 400,000 tonnes of finished products and employs almost 800 staff. It is a success on a European and a global scale.
