Where does the name Lutosa come from ?

From a region known for its quality and its authenticity...

Lutosa is the Latin translation of "Leuze-en-Hainaut", a rural village where our main site was established 40 years ago. This region prides itself on its potato farming, which benefits from a fertile soil, ideal weather conditions (sunny spells alternating with rainfall) and the expertise of the entire agricultural chain.

To market their products, Guy and Luc first used their family name "Van den Broeke", but the difficulty to pronounce this Flemish name, especially in southern countries, made them switch for a name that was easy to pronounce and remember. 40 years later, Lutosa is the main Belgian brand of french fries and potato specialties, a brand now present in 138 countries around the world.
